Korte can't connect to OBS
Korte connects to OBS by itself, with no settings to find. If it can't, it tells you why, and most fixes take one click.
Korte talks to OBS Studio through OBS's connection for apps (OBS calls it the WebSocket server). It reads the settings OBS saves on your PC, so you never have to type a password.
Korte says “OBS isn't open”
Click Open OBS in Korte, or open OBS yourself. Korte connects by itself within a few seconds.
Korte says “OBS's connection for apps is off”
Click Connect OBS (restarts it once) in Korte (on the Shows checklist the button is called Connect OBS). It switches the connection on and restarts OBS once, so finish anything you're in the middle of in OBS first.
Korte says “OBS didn't close”
OBS won't restart while it's streaming or recording. Stop the stream or recording in OBS, then click Connect OBS again.
OBS is open but doesn't answer
Give OBS a few seconds after it starts. If it still doesn't connect, close OBS completely and open it again: Korte connects by itself.
OBS runs on another PC, or you set your own password
On Korte's Welcome screen, choose OBS on another PC, or your own password? and type the address, port and password from OBS (in OBS: Tools, then WebSocket Server Settings).
Check your OBS version
Korte needs OBS Studio 33 or newer. In OBS, open Help, then About, to see your version, and update from obsproject.com if it's older.
