The basics
Do I need special cameras?

No. Anything OBS can see works: pro cameras, webcams, action cams. Phones count.
Does it replace OBS?

No. It works inside OBS; your scenes and settings stay yours.
Can I take over?

Will my viewers notice a delay?

What PC do I need?

Windows 10 or 11 with 16 GB of memory (RAM) or more, plus OBS Studio 33 or newer.
Mac?

How many cameras can I use?

Two or more. Korte handles up to 4 cameras. Korte Pro has no limit and has been tested with up to 8 so far. See Pricing.
Plans & billing
How much does it cost?

Korte is $29 a month or $239 a year. Korte Pro is $79 a month or $699 a year. Both include every director, and both start with 30 days free. See Pricing for the details.
Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes, any time from your account page. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Upgrades apply right away; downgrades at your next renewal.
Is there a free trial?

Yes. 30 days free (card required). On monthly: two months at half price ($14.50 a month for Korte, $39.50 for Pro), then $29 or $79 a month. On yearly: your first year is $210 for Korte or $620 for Pro (the half-price months built in), then $239 or $699 a year.
Can I move Korte to a new PC?

Yes. Remove the old PC from your account page (or click Sign out of this PC in Korte), then sign in on the new one. Korte also works offline for up to 30 days between checks, so a venue without internet is fine.
Privacy
Does it record or upload my video?

No. It watches the cameras on your PC, live, and doesn't send your video anywhere. [Confirm with the privacy policy]
Does it recognize faces?

No. It never identifies people. (It can notice which camera someone is looking into.)
