The look-ahead, explained
Your viewers see the show a few seconds late, so the director sees every moment first.
Most live streams already run a few seconds behind. Korte uses that time: the director sees every camera live, while your viewers see the same moment, cut, a few seconds later.
That's why:
the cut lands exactly as the solo starts, not a second after;
a camera that gets bumped never reaches the stream.
How long
Choose 2, 3, 5 or 8 seconds in Settings, under Look-ahead and sync. Longer means surer decisions, but chat feels further behind. Stop the show first to change it.
Turning it on
It's a step in the show's checklist: Turn on the look-ahead. It needs the Korte plugin in OBS. The music is held back by the same amount, so sound stays in sync.
