What you need to run Korte
A Windows PC, OBS Studio and two or more cameras. Phones count.
Korte works inside OBS Studio, the free streaming app. OBS keeps your cameras, your scenes and your stream; Korte directs them.
The PC
Windows 10 or 11. Mac isn't supported yet.
A recent PC. A graphics card helps: the director watches every camera several times a second, and a graphics card lets it do more while leaving room for OBS.
About 15 GB of free space.
Internet for the first start, when Korte downloads what its director needs. After that, shows don't need the internet.
OBS Studio
OBS Studio 33 or newer. If it's missing or older, the Korte installer offers to get the official version from obsproject.com.
Cameras
Two or more. Anything OBS can see works: cameras through a capture card, webcams, network cameras, and phones by QR code.
One camera that sees the whole stage is a good idea. Korte uses a wide shot as its safe place.
Sound
The band's mix going into the PC, usually through an audio interface or from the mixing desk. The director listens to it to know who is playing.
